Finance & Administration Manager, FRIDA, Panama

Finance and Administration Manager

Posted on: January 18, 2015
Posted by: FRDIA
What is the job?
Since its inception 4 years ago, FRIDA has grown significantly and expanded staff and operations in several countries, which has resulted in increasing complexity in the organization’s financial transactions and administration.  In its incubation phase, AWID and the Tides Foundation have supported FRIDA’s administration. This year, FRIDA has decided to get their own independent legal status in Panama, and is now seeking a Finance and Administration Manager to play a leading role in helping us set up our financial and administrative systems and proactively manage these complexities.
The Finance and Administration Manager is responsible for all aspects of the financial management and administration for the Fund. The Finance and Administration Manager is expected to provide sound financial advice and effective financial management as well as manage the administrative functions of the Fund.
This position is a full-time, regular position and reports to and works most closely with the two Co-Directors.
Where would it be located?
The location of the position is flexible, but preference is that the applicant be based in Latin America and/or the Global South. The position can be based in any country where the applicant is legally able to reside as long as the location has access to high-speed internet connection. The salary for this position is competitive, and commensurate with experience and location.
Who should apply?
The position is perfect for a young feminist who is passionate and has experience about finance and administration for women’s rights and/or youth organizations. The candidate must speak English, and Spanish is highly desired due to the location of FRIDA’s registration in Panama.
The ideal candidate should be multi-tasker, very organized and a quick learner, with strong finance and computer skills. We are a small team working all around the world and FRIDA is still developing as an organization – self-initiative, creativity, patience, flexibility, and a good sense of humor are essential!
Young women and transgender youth under the age of 30 are strongly encouraged to apply.
How to apply?
Then send your cover letter, CV/Resume, and 3 references to recruitment@youngfeministfund.org as soon as possible. Please include “Finance and Administration Manager” as the subject line.
No phone calls please.  Only email applications will be accepted.  We thank all who apply, but only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.  FRIDA encourages, promotes and supports diversity in all aspects of its work.
For any questions, please email recruitment@youngfeministfund.org
