DESCRIPTION

The Business of Me is a woman owned social impact company that has designed a curriculum for survivors of abuse to rebuild their lives. We are currently seeking an intern who is familiar and experienced with website design. This internship will provide an opportunity for public acknowledgement of your work. The intern who designs the website will have their name(s) listed on the website as the web designer.

HOURS

The selected interns (we are looking for at least 2 as we have more than one website) will be afforded the opportunity to attend a class on "Inbound Marketing" given by an industry expert. The "Inbound Marketing" class is given on four Saturdays in August.

After the class, the interns will be asked to give eight hours per week to re-designing the website. The intern will need to work eight hours per week in addition to the class. The selected intern will be able to determine their own schedule but must commit to agreed upon deadlines for delivery of work. The intern can work from home, but we ask for a weekly meeting to discuss and view the progress on the website the meeting can be a telephone meeting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creation of The Business of Me websites
  • Creation and maintenance of The Business of Me social media sites
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Pursuing Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of Wordpress
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Creative and excited about becoming a part of an innovative team whose aim it is to help women break the cycle of violence in their lives!
