Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse is the primary sexual violence service provider for Calgary and surrounding areas. We are looking for experienced and innovative individuals to be part of our dynamic team and organization. CCASA is excited to announce that we are currently hiring two 10 – 12 month (negotiable) maternity leave counselling positions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individual and group counselling (both male and female clients)
- Crisis Intervention
- Caseload management
- Advocacy with clients
- Delivery of CCASA's community and professional education programs
- Successful candidates may be required to work some evenings and weekends as well as provide counselling to rural areas surrounding Calgary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in social/human services with 2-3 years related work experience
- Both individual and group counselling experience
- Experience working with a caseload required
- Possess an anti-oppressive/feminist analysis of sexual violence
- Crisis intervention
- Strong communication skills
- Some experience working with the effects of sexual violence on individuals and communities
- The ability to work with various community and professional services
- Professional registration
