PRIMARY FUNCTION: Research and write new government and private grant applications and proposals while managing and maintaining existing grants. Serve as liaison between all program directors to enhance internal communication systems and provide technical support to Legal Director, Economic Advocacy Director, Fiscal Director, Crisis and Advocacy Services Director; articulate WRC's feminist philosophy and mission based work in the community and to funding sources; coordinate and implement volunteer program and annual training.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Masters Degree in Communications, Public Administration, Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum three years experience with proposal writing and grant reporting.
- Effective written communication skills with demonstrated knowledge and expertise in grant writing and strong editing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and research funding resources; demonstrated success in securing private and/or public funding through grants, fundraising efforts, and government relations.
- Expertise in analyzing and collecting data.
- Demonstrate ability to utilize complex data collection/reporting/grant systems technology and to the ability to train staff to gain competency in electronic reporting.
- Demonstrate ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a face-paced environment, to manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate ability to navigate social media sites; operate excel and windows programs.
- Travel is necessary and access to reliable transportation is essential.
- Must complete WRC's required coalition approved training program within 6 months.
- Pass Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances.
