POSITION
We are currently seeking a skilled, passionate and responsible individual to fill the position of International Communications Coordinator.
Based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the International Communications Coordinator will assist in managing and coordinating organization communications, website and public relations for Chab Dai. The position requires 30-40 hours/week and at least 75% time must be worked from the Chab Dai office. Time off is negotiable.
This is a non-salaried, stipend-paid position. Pay will depend on experience (min. $300/month, max. $800/month[1]). Candidates from the U.S. will have the option of raising personal support through Chab Dai USA[2]. Following the completion of this contract there may be an opportunity for advancement within the organization.
Position opens 1 March 2013 and must be filled by 1 July 2013. Minimum contract commitment will be 12-18 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the development and implementation of an organization-wide style guide;
- Oversee design, layout and content of media campaigns, newsletters, and print media (e.g. Annual Report, Project Portfolios, etc.);
- Oversee and monitor social media accounts including Facebook and Twitter;
- Manage newsletter and media contacts;
- Coordinate website maintenance – ensure new and consistent information (articles, stories, events, descriptions) are posted regularly for all international offices;
- Manage and organize authors for the Chab Dai blog;
- Oversee and manage internal photo and video indexing;
- Assist with photography and videography strategy, and coordinate opportunities to add to the internal photo and video library;
- Manage communications interns and volunteers (when applicable);
- Assist with online fundraising
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional, can work well on a team
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently
- Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Must have excellent writing and editing skills (including correct grammar, spelling)
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office
- Desktop publishing skills required; knowledge and experience using iWork (Mac) and/or Adobe Suite preferred
- Experience and skills using social media, especially Facebook and Twitter, required
- Personal experience living and working abroad preferred
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent in experience) required, graduate level degree preferred

1 - Estimated monthly expenses to live in Phnom Penh: $600-$1000 per person.
2 - Chab Dai USA is a 501c3 charity registered with the IRS. Financial support may be raised by U.S. residents upon signature and agreement with Chab Dai USA's Support Raising Policy.
