The College is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technology support services for PC and Mac computers, mobile devices, enterprise and desktop software, Microsoft O365, and network components to allow onsite staff to effectively utilize technology resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide 1st & 2nd level technical support (in person, via phone, remote) for ACOG staff, members and visitors
  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of technical solutions relating to applications, system software, computer hardware, mobile devices (iOS and Android) and computer peripherals
  • Consistently record support activities in Help Desk ticketing system and follow up as necessary to ensure staff technology needs are met
  • Create, maintain and utilize base computer image for the initial installation and configuration of information technology hardware, software and peripherals used by ACOG staff
  • Perform user account administration, provisioning and file rights management for employee email, phone, file stores, network and application accounts in a 220 onsite user environment
  • Develop end user documentation for ACOG staff and technical documentation and training materials for IT team members
  • Provide basic VoIP support and escalate issues to VoIP provider as needed
  • Research technical solutions and escalate as appropriate and perform root cause analysis to proactively reduce or eliminate potential future problems
  • Evaluate and procure approved hardware/software and conduct an annual physical inventory of all ACOG owned technology assets
  • Contribute to planning and executing of projects, including performing project activities, providing status reports, and communicating effectively with stakeholders and management
  • Actively contribute to the maintenance (patches & updates) of a secure computing environment
  • Assist with staff moves/adds/changes
  • Provide after-hours support as needed
REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of two (2) years of information technology experience requiring organization, prioritization, troubleshooting, confidentiality, timeliness, and working independently to successfully install, configure, maintain, and support Windows and/or Mac desktop operating systems and software
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or technology-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred qualifications include one or more of the following CompTIA A+, Network + and/or Security+ certifications, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Windows 7, Mac OS X, Microsoft Office applications, browsers, mobile devices (iOS & Android)
  • 1 + years Microsoft Exchange or other email package admin support
  • Demonstrated history of superior communication skills, verbal and written, with diverse personalities, technical competency levels, and cultures
  • Experience, and commitment to, providing exceptional customer service
  • Self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Physically perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, to include, but not limited to:
  1. Continuous sitting or standing, typing, and writing
  2. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50lbs

We are looking for a Senior Director, Gynecologic Practice who will coordinate and supervise work of committees and staff in the areas of gynecology, well-woman care, adolescent health care, and ethics. This position will also track, interpret, and report on gynecologic and professionalism issues requiring College attention and/or policy development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and oversee all activities in Division affecting medical professionalism
    Oversee the development and maintenance of publications on ethics (eg, Committee Opinions); stimulate the development of policies and activities for medical professionalism; seek outside sources of funding to support new interest areas and special projects; advise and facilitate the work of Committee on Ethics; hire and supervise staff, research issues relevant to College interests
  • Direct and oversee all gynecologic, well-woman care, and adolescent health care activities in Division
    Through direction of the work of the Department staff, advise and facilitate the work of clinical committees (Clinical Document Review Panel/ Gynecology, Committee on Gynecologic Practice, Committee on Adolescent Health Care, Editorial Committee for Guidelines for Women's Health Care) and task forces in the areas of gynecology, well-woman care, and adolescent health care; oversee hiring and supervision of all staff for these areas; oversee the development and maintenance of practice publications in gynecology, well-woman care, and adolescent health care (eg, Guidelines for Women's Health Care, Guidelines for Adolescent Health Care, Committee Opinions, Technology Assessments, health records, ancillary publications); stimulate the development of policies and activities in the areas of gynecology, well-woman care, and adolescent health care; seek outside sources of funding to support new interest areas and special projects; research issues relevant to College interests; facilitate sessions on these areas at the Annual Clinical Meeting or other venues as needed.
  • Serve as primary staff for the Committee on Ethics and the Clinical Document Review Panel/Gynecology
    Manage activities of the Clinical Document Review Panel/Gynecology and the Committee on Ethics, including developing and managing budgets, developing agendas and holding meetings, researching issues, overseeing development of minutes, carrying out work of committee as needed, and interpreting decisions to College committees, staff, and outside groups
  • Participate in College policy and project development outside of Division
    Collaborate with other Divisions and participate in policy and project development for issues of overlapping interest; review materials for conformity with College policies and guidelines on gynecologic practice and medical professionalism
  • Advise and represent Vice President of Practice Activities on issues of gynecologic practice and ethics.
    Advise the Vice President of Practice Activities on gynecologic practice and ethics; proactively promote College policy to Fellows, other professional organizations, managed care organizations, hospital administrators and leadership, public policymakers, and the public and respond to the same when interpretation of College policy is required; represent the Vice President in these areas as requested
  • Represent the College to other organizations
    Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with other organizations and agencies interested in gynecologic practice, well-woman care, and ethics; attend meetings related to these issues, advocating for College interests and interpreting and reporting on issues; coordinate the College's review and response to documents developed by other organizations; maintain awareness of content and policy issues affecting the specialty regarding clinical care and professional behavior; respond to Fellows, outside organizations, and individuals regarding College policies on these issues
REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's degree in nursing, public health, or related fields preferred.
  • Expertise generally gained by 10 years of experience in related positions.
  • Background in women's health desirable.
  • Experience in health administration or with related associations.
  • Knowledge of the health care system and women's health care.
  • Excellent communication skills; self-motivated and directed; excellent independent judgment and ability to take responsibility; supervisory experience.
  • Ability to represent the College in a variety of situations.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Committees & Task Forces (Program Manager/Meeting Planner) to serve as primary staff to committees, presidential task forces, work groups and initiatives that address gynecologic and well-woman topics.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Director on issues related to the College's gynecologic guidance and initiatives, including issues related to adolescent health.
  • Guide documents through peer review and publication process as needed.
  • Coordinate meetings including developing meeting agendas and compiling necessary materials.
  • Carry out the work of assigned presidential task forces, work groups, and initiatives.

  • Provide content oversight for departmental assistants, including assigning and reviewing work, providing feedback and direction as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in related work;
  • Medical association experience preferred;
  • Must be computer literate, including strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Grant writing skills and project management experience are preferred;
  • The position requires superior communication and editing skills;
  • Must be able to assimilate technical issues into accurate reports and responses;
  • Must possess a proper balance of assertiveness, diplomacy and discretion;
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people and institutions;
  • Skills in managing a diverse and heavy work load; self-direction.

We are looking for a Technology Officer who will oversee the full IT infrastructure including but not limited to application and systems, network, websites and intranet, mobile applications, desktop support, and new products. Additionally, this position champions the capabilities and mission of the organization's technology department as it relates to internal project teams and the company as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Planning
  • Participate as a member of the senior management team in governance processes of the organization's architecture, networks, programming, media, and desktops.
  • Lead strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
  • Develop and present business and technology initiatives and alignment plans to the executive team and other stakeholders.
Acquisition and Deployment
  • Define requirements for new technology (e.g. digital products) development and implementation and communicate them to key business stakeholders.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.
  • Review all hardware and software contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
  • Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.
  • Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Operational Management
  • Develop meaningful service-delivery metrics and ensure that such metrics are properly measured, including website metrics using products such as Google Analytics.
  • Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Build, maintain, measure, and constantly improve a culture of customer service excellence.
  • Develop multi-year budgets and plans to ensure ACOG's infrastructure and support teams are responsive to evolving technology needs.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, business administration, or other related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive professional experience with at least 5 years in management.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful and innovative technological solutions. Experience leading diverse teams and ability in driving productive change and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
  • Strong project management and systems analysis experience. Background in evaluating, selecting, and operating digital platforms and applications such Content Management Systems (CMS) as well as marketing-related software and database applications such as email and CRM.
  • Experience with cross-platform digital product development, implementation and/or operations (e.g., websites, e-commerce capabilities, mobile sites, apps).
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation to connect with technical and non-technical audience.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to prepare boxes for shipping, file documents or store materials.

We are looking for a Program Specialist who will manage all aspects of one of our women's health programs focused on the quality of care in hospitals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive and guide requests through each stage of the program including: coordinating business agreements, effectively communicating data with the appropriate internal and external parties, processing and maintaining evaluations, copyediting, and providing administrative support.
  • Update and maintain program materials and databases including forms, reference manuals, hospital code sheets, worksheets, and training resources.
  • Support the committee by assisting in the development of the agenda, compiling agenda books, preparing reports and minutes, and implementing committee decisions.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new members, nurses, medical writers, and other health care professionals as reviewers and plan/implement training sessions.
  • Serve as the medical writer/team administrator as part of the review team on about two site visits per year as needed. Coordinate all site visit preparation with the hospital coordinator and medical records coordinator. Communicate with review team members in advance of site visit to ensure all site visit logistics have been confirmed. Accompany team on site and record all information that will be included in the final report and assist the team as they interview hospital members and conduct the chart review. Draft the site visit report with input from the review team and continue to coordinate the report editing process.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy, including creation of all marketing materials and coordination of booth exhibiting at association conferences.
  • Develop working knowledge of the College's resources and guidelines. Become familiar with the College's publications in order to understand the College's guidelines for caring for women. Research health care sources to proactively gather relevant reference information to be included in the report.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with research, statistics, spreadsheets, and tables is essential. Experience with medical databases, such as Medline are also essential.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting management, HTML/website management is required.
  • Previous program management experience required. Medical association experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills while managing multiple projects;
  • Must be able to work extended hours on planned meeting days (730am-830pm).
  • The position requires travel 5% of the time, including some weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to prepare boxes for shipping, file documents or store materials.
