JASS (Just Associates), a fast-growing, global, activist-oriented organization dedicated to strengthening the voice, visibility and collective organizing power of women is looking for an intern with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

The intern will have the opportunity to participate in interesting and challenging work, as well as expand their skills and build a foundation for a career in the nonprofit field.
Main Responsibilities:
Specific tasks will include:
- Maximizing the use and impact of listservs, yahoo groups, blog, regional websites, Facebook, etc. and developing and proposing ideas for enhanced impact of these tools;
- Working with program staff to update content and design for our CMS website and database;
- Developing creative ways to share women’s stories and experiences;
- Some writing and editing of content for website, brochures, blogs, etc;
- Administrative support;
- Other program support as assigned.
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree (or be working towards one) related to Communications, Social Media or other relevant field;
- An Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software applications;
- Interest in and some knowledge of social justice issues;
- High level of comfort using blogging software and sites including Twitter, Facebook, Hootsuite etc.
- Excellent networking and diplomacy skills;
- Ability to think critically and reflectively and to work with minimal supervision;
- Proficiency in Spanish desired but not required;
- Ability to multi-task, self-starter, with high comfort level working in a fast-paced environment.
The JASS intern must be:
- Extremely proactive, productive, creative and design-savvy
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Experience working cross-culturally
- Flexible and able to respond to changing deadlines and priorities
Salary: Stipend provided
Hours: Minimum of 20 hours commitment
