Awards Programme Manager, Womanity

Award Programme Manager

Posted on: December 20, 2014
Application deadline: January 11, 2015
Start date: February 2015
Posted by: Womanity

The Womanity Foundation is looking for a project manager to coordinate Womanity’s support to Award winners 2014, as well as prepare and run the future editions of the Award.

The Womanity Award addresses violence against women by identifying innovative ways to reduce such violence, and by increasing their impact through their replication in other contexts. Hence, the Womanity Foundation strategically partners with an organization that has developed a program that effectively reduces violence against women, called the “Innovation Partner”, and then supports its local adaptation, implementation and expansion through an organisation acting as a “Scale-Up Partner”. The Womanity Award serves as the platform to identify innovative solutions and “Innovation Partners” and “Scale-Up Partners” interested and capable of replicating the model; and to coordinate partners willing to support the process with their expertise, professional contributions and funding.
The Womanity Foundation is looking for a project manager to coordinate Womanity’s support to Award winners 2014, as well as prepare and run the future editions of the Award.

  • Lead the selection process of the Womanity Award (next selection process to be launched in September 2015), including the creation of the necessary guidelines and tools (application forms, etc.); recruitment and coordination of a selection panel/jury; drafting of evaluation criteria for the selection of Innovation and Scale-Up Partners; proactive search and identification of potential partners based on the verified and documented impact of their model in reducing violence against women; call for nominations/applications and evaluation of award applicants.
  • Map and recruit co-funding and co-branding partner(s) for the Womanity Award and manage the relationships.
  • Plan and organise the award ceremony.
  • Conclude the partnership agreement with Award winners, assess needs for support, define timeline and workplan, and oversee partnership implementation.
  • Map, recruit and manage professional program partners who will deliver professional support to the innovation and scale-up partners for the replication of the chosen solution.
  • Manage the implementation of the award (currently the project being implemented with Award winners 2014) with the innovation/scale-up/professional program partners and sponsors, and work on the adaptation and replication process.
  • Develop a communications plan and materials for the Womanity Award and disseminate them to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Supervise the monitoring and evaluation of the Womanity Award’s organisation and implementation; document the impact achieved via the Award.

  • Dynamic and efficient project manager with demonstrated experience in successfully designing and implementing complex social projects, as well as carrying out program development, assessments and evaluations.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced expert in the field of women’s rights and the reduction of violence against women, with an authoritative network of connections and a proven track record in the field.
  • Creative partnership broker with strong negotiation and communications skills and a talent for building fruitful relationships between social, corporate, academic and other actors.
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial facilitator, capable of driving the collaboration between social actors and their professional partners towards the realization of their common objective.
  • Experience in event planning and organisation.
  • Fluency and analytical writing skills in English. Proficiency in the use of standard ITC tools.
Duration: Minimum two year commitment (renewable), at a rate of minimum 24 hours to maximum 32 hours weekly (60 to 80% FTE)
Start date: February 2015
