DESCRIPTION

Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA) is the primary sexual violence service provider for Calgary and surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced and innovative individual to be part of our dynamic organization. This person will have worked in the field of human/social services for three + years and will possess a multitude of skills in counselling, crisis intervention, education and community and professional training. CCASA is excited to offer a full-time position to an individual who is interested in continuing to build their skills in these areas and will be a creative and supportive team member.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Individual and group counseling (both male and female clients)
• Crisis Intervention
• Caseload management
• Advocacy with clients
• Delivery of CCASA's community and professional education program
- Successful candidates may be required to work some evenings and weekends as well as provide counselling to rural areas surrounding Calgary.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A degree in social/human services with 3-5 years related work experience
• Both individual and group counselling experience
• Experience working with a caseload
• Possess an anti-oppressive/feminist analysis of sexual violence
• Crisis intervention
• Strong communication skills
• Some experience working with the effects of sexual violence on individuals and communities
• The ability to work with various community and professional services
• Professional registration
