PT (28 hrs/wk) Creative Arts Therapist needed for non-residential counseling program in a not-for-profit domestic violence agency. Masters degree in Creative Arts Therapy (Movement, Music, Drama, or Play) required. DV experience preferred. Send letters of interest, resume, & salary requirements.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy (or working towards such) required,
Registration and Board Certification preferred
DV experience preferred
Excellent crisis intervention skills
Bilingual Spanish a plus
Full Time, evenings
General Responsibilities:
At the direction of and in collaboration with the Director of Client Services, carries the responsibility for providing creative arts therapy services to child witnesses of domestic violence, and case management services for their non-offending parent. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering environment to clients and staff.
- Provide individual and group creative arts therapy services for children, and case management services for their non-offending parent.
- Work collaboratively with agency staff and community agencies to facilitate the delivery of services. Provide domestic violence information and referrals to outside agencies.
- Program development including: working on special projects to benefit clients, the program, and the agency, assessing the need for additional client resources and services, and submitting ideas for program improvements to the Director of Client Services.
- Provide coverage for coworkers as needed.
Specific Duties:
- Responsible for ensuring the following services are provided to non-residential clients:
In-take appointments, individual and group creative arts therapy, client advocacy, case management, concrete service resources and referrals, crisis intervention.
- Documentation: maintain case records for individual and group clients according to agency documentation policy/procedure, complete service schedules, administer evaluations and assessments, complete safety and goal plans with clients, and maintain other records as needed.
- Maintain contact with clients on the waiting list and update accordingly.
- Maintain and submit monthly client contact reports, and monthly accomplishment report to the Director
of Client Services.
- Administrative work including inputting statistics, updating client database, program materials, etc.
