Vice President of Development

SUMMARY
The Vice President of Development reports to the President/CEO and is chiefly responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the agency's development initiatives, including expansion of major gifts.
DESIRED SKILLS
·Proven success in preparing annual development plans to ensure achievement of annual revenue goals and success in addressing long-term goals to meet organizational needs.
·Experience in implementation of annual fundraising plans as well as oversight and coordination of special events, all gift solicitations and direct mail appeals.
·Experience in developing and implementing a successful major gifts program. Carries a portfolio of major donors.
·Analytical skills to steer development programs and activities from donor data.
·Experience in establishing annual communications plan with donors and the community including printed newsletters, e-newsletters, annual report and special appeals.
·Successful track record of providing leadership in developing an endowment and/or planned giving program and annual campaign.
·Bachelor's degree; Masters and CFRE preferred
·Preferred minimum 7 years overall experience with Fund Development. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience required.
·Knowledge of Domestic Violence desirable.
